We accept files from all leading software packages – Mac or Pc. If you are are
using a design/layout package, then exporting your files as a High Quality PDF can assist in faster turnarounds. If using Photoshop, supply your image as a
flattened TIFF file – RGB, no extra layers, channels, or paths.
Page Size / Setup
Try to set your page size or canvas size to the exact dimensions of the print you require. Otherwise use half increments – i.e. 50% or 25%
of the size you are after.
Colour Space / Mode
Always stick to the colour space of any elements you are using. Try to avoid
converting colour spaces. We can accept CMYK, RGB and Greyscale files.
If you are starting from scratch then RGB is recommended (AdobeRGB(1998))
If using Pantone values, please inform us when placing your order so we can
ensure that we match them as close as possible.
Image sizes
How big can I go with this image?
You can go as big as you like, but the resolution (amount of information) will
determine how far back from the print you need to view it for it to look as you
expect. It is a difficult question to answer as the subject of the image can also
affect how large you can print it before it starts to deteriorate in quality.
For prints around A2 (16”x24”) or smaller, anything between 150 and 300dpi is best. The higher the better. For larger prints, 150dpi is recommended, but
80 dpi is usually more than adequate for large backgrounds.
Text and Fonts
Always convert text to outlines or curves where possible. If you are unable to
do this then please supply any non-system fonts used.
QUARK / INDESIGN / ILLUSTRATOR
Supply all support images, graphics and fonts.
