High Resolution
To get the best looking image from your original tranny,
photo or neg, it's important to know exactly what it's going
to be used for as a final image.
Not all printing devices work the same way. Traditional
CMYK printing requires a scan of a different nature than
an RGB which can be used as retouch and output back to tranny,
printed to a large format device or even a CMYK that will
be retouched, added to and resized.
We scan from original
print, 35mm transparency or negative, from 6x7",
4x5" film
and from flat art. All work exceeds professional standards
and we make no compromise. Surfaces are cleaned prior to
scanning to maximise quality. All images are individually
cleaned of dust and scratches at 100% of the file size.
Our scans are scanned to RGB and are cleaned with no adjustment
of sharpness as this should be applied to the scan at the
last stage (ie. after retouching and resizing). We
sharpen only
if requested.

Low Resolution
We offer inexpensive low resolution scans available
from all formats of transparency and reflection art. These
are best suited for onscreen use such as Web, PowerPoint presentations
or multimedia.
Notes
- Volume reduces pricing.
- All originals are carefully cleaned before scanning.
- We monitor each scan manually for colour accuracy and
problematic tonal range.
- Scans are cleaned of dust and scratches at 100% of file
size prior to burning to CD.
